When choosing the best engineering college, your first preference should be a government college.

And if your percentage does not reach the criteria of a government college. Then you can go to a private college according to your percentage and the standards of that college.

Before choosing any private college, check three things.
1. Check the placement status of that college
2. The ranking of the college
3. The fees of that college.
Before taking admission, try to visit that college once. And try to talk with students and collect information like:-

  • Does the college conduct industrial visits and workshops?
  • Previous year’s placement status, max and min package, approaching companies, etc.
  • Does faculty focus on practicals?
  • Students and teacher interaction?
  • Check the eligibility criteria of scholarships given out by the engineering college so you can have many options for getting into the best institutes without tuition fees becoming a constraint.
  • Is there any interaction between students and training and placement cells?
  • Does college support students in technical activities and extracurricular activities?
  • Ask such queries to the students and be familiar with the college environment.
If a personal visit to the college is not possible for you. Then you can get information from websites like shiksha.com, and collegedunia.com. Otherwise can read the online feedback of students and then conclude.

The above information is vital, but the very important thing is to check whether the college is Affiliated with AICTE. And if the college has a NAAC grade then it’s very good.

If you scored good marks & you have confidence you will definitely get into government college. Then your first preference should be a government college. And you don’t have to worry about placements and other things.
